After breaks at his last two starts Sundees Son was back to his brilliant best in the Group 3 South Bay Trotters Cup at Kaikoura.
The son of Majestic Son began brilliantly from the stand and then made a powerful mid race move to take the lead.
A last half of 56.6 saw Sundees Son win by two lengths in a new race record time of 2:00.2.
Remarkably this was the 20th stakes win for Sundees Son!
He will now head to the Dominion Handicap where he will be aiming to be come the first horse ever to win the race three times in a row.
