Miss Idaho confirmed her class with an impressive win in the SA Golden Nursery at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night.
The daughter of Ultimate Machete finished off swiftly with her powerful sprint and won by half a length.
The win was her third from four starts, with her only defeat coming on debut.
Miss Idaho was bred by Gary and Melva Graham out of their Courage Under Fire mare Golden Valour.
Ultimate Machete’s oldest progeny are only two year olds and he has made quite an impact from limited numbers.
In Australia he has sired 10 winners, including 5 who have won at metropolitan level – Miss Hepburn (Group 1 placed), Grand Couteau, Bazaar Package, Miss Idaho and Smooth Machete.
While in New Zealand he is the sire of the second richest two year old pacing filly this season – Ultimate Racy Girl, who has been placed three times at stakes level.
Ultimate Machete is standing this season at Cobbitty Equine Farm at a fee of $2,750 (incl GST) in Australia and $2,500 (plus GST) in New Zealand.
