Lazarus has become a Group 1 sire with Nathan Street producing a sublime performance to win the Group 1 NSW Breeders Challenge Final at Menangle on Sunday.
Sitting just off the pace, Nathan Street hooked out at the top of the home straight and finished over the top of War Dan Buddy (Art Major) to win in 1:50.5.
Nathan Street comes from the debut crop of Lazarus and is one of just 40 Australian born foals by him.
Those 40 foals have resulted in 14 winners who have won $427,121 – which makes him a top 7 two year old sire and the Leading First Crop Sire.
Bred by Redbank Lodge Standardbreds, Nathan Street is out of the Somebeachsomewhere mare Lettucesomewhere, who in turn is out of the Falcon Seelster mare New York Fashion.
Lazarus stands at Nevele R Stud at a fee of $7,500 (plus GST).
