Usyk who was coming off strong trial form, began as a well tried favourite in the 2YO race at Wagga on Friday afternoon.
After settling towards the rear, Usyk closed hard and won in 1:57 over Sweet Nicky (Captain Crunch).
Bred and raced by David and Anne Jack, Usyk is out of the Art Major Major Kiss.
Interestingly he carries a 2 x 4 cross to Bettor’s Delight.
