Tricky Miki took out the Group 2 Western Gateway Pace last night at Gloucester Park.
Given a perfect drive by Gary Hall Jnr, the son of Always B Miki began from a second row draw and he was able to push off the rail at the right time.
He flew home to get up in the shadows of the post to win.
It was the third stakes win of his career and takes his earnings past $200,000.
Bred by Steve Johnson, Tricky Miki is out of the Modern Art mare Harriet Elisabeth.
He thus carries a 3 x 3 cross to Artsplace and a 5 x 4 cross to No Nukes.
Always B Miki is standing this season at a fee of $9,350 (incl GST) in Australia and $9,500 (plus GST) in New Zealand.
