Tricky Miki became Always B Miki’s second Group 1 winner when he took out the WA Golden Slipper.
Given a great drive by Justin Prentice, Tricky Miki surged home over the top to win by 7.5 metres.
Fellow son of Always B Miki, Youre So Fine finished third at his Australian debut.
Bred by Steve Johnson, Tricky Miki is the second foal of the Modern Art mare Harriet Elisabeth. He was purchased by Justin Prentice for $57,500 as a yearling at Perth APG sale and he now won over $92,000 from just four starts.
Always B Miki has made a flying start to his stud career in the Southern Hemisphere. He is already the sire of two Group 1 winners and eight stakes horses in total.
Always B Miki is fully booked in Australia, however bookings still remain in New Zealand at a fee of $7,500 (plus GST).
