Plymouth Chubb dominates Redwood

Plymouth Chubb continued his dominant run of form with a record breaking win in the Redwood Classic at Maryborough today.

After stepping safely from the back line, the son of Majestic Son made a midrace move to the breeze where he relaxed beautifully.

As the field turned for home, Kerryn Manning let Plymouth Chubb go and he powered home to win in strong fashion.

The mile rate of 2:01.9 obliterated the previous race record by over two seconds.

Bred and raced by Gary Benson and Steven Hegyi, Plymouth Chubb is out of the In The Pocket mare Pocket Fantasy.

He has now had 10 starts for 9 wins and earnings of $102,530.

For Majestic Son it was his second winner of the time honoured Redwood Classic after Daenerys Targaryen won in 2013.
