Harry Stamper wins Breeders Crown Final

Outstanding young trotter Harry Stamper (Majestic Son) secured his second Group 1 win of the season with a dazzling win in the Breeders Crown Final at Melton on Saturday night.

Showing good gate speed, Harry Stamper was able to lead and that proved a masterstroke.

Race favourite Cravache Dor made an early move to come sit in the breeze.

Harry Stamper ran through the third quarter in 28.2 and then was able to put away Cravache Dor up the straight as he ran home in 28 seconds to win by 5.1 metres.

Bred in New Zealand by Bev Williamson and C & A Porter, Harry Stamper is bred on the hugely successful Majestic Son / Sundon cross.

He is the second foal of Dwindle Miss, who won six races throughout her career.

Harry Stamper who is trained by Joe Pace has now 8 times for $114,803 in career earnings. Prior to Saturday night he had won the NSW Derby and finished second in the Victoria Derby.

Majestic Son continues to be the dominant trotting stallion in the Southern Hemisphere and stands for a fee of $5,500 (incl GST) in Australia and $5,000 (plus GST) in New Zealand – multiple mare discounts are available.
