Grace Hill wins Breeders Crown Final

Grace Hill became the latest Breeders Crown winner, and millionaire, for Always B Miki after a stakes record equalling performance.

In an action packed beginning to the race, Grace Hill fired off the mobile to lead, before handing up and then doing the retake to find herself back in the lead.

From there she paced controlled speed and then dug deep in the straight to hold off the fast finishing Test Of Faith (Art Major).

The time of 1:48.8 equalled the stakes record of Hana Hanover and Kissin In The Sand.

For Grace Hill it was the biggest win of her exceptional career. In 45 starts she has now won of placed 30 times and has earnings of $1,174,790.

Bred by White Birch Farm, Grace Hill is the fourth (and most successful) foal of the Western Terror mare Western Silk.

Thus she carries a 4 x 3 cross to Western Hanover and a 3 x 4 cross to Artsplace.

Always B Miki is standing this season at a fee of $9,350 (incl GST) in Australia and $9,500 (plus GST) in New Zealand.
