Joyful became the fifth Group 1 winner from Always B Miki’s first two crops after taking out the $130,000 Vicbred 2YO Fillies Final at Melton.
Sent straight to the front by Mark Pitt, Joyful was never headed and she scored a comfortable victory – her fifth in a row.
Bred by Alabar Bloodstock, Joyful is the second foal of the Group 1 winning Mach Three mare Joyfuljoy.
For her sire Always B Miki it was another fine accomplishment in his short career to date.
He has now sired five Group 1 winners with the promise of much more to come.
Always B Miki is standing this season at a fee of $9,350 (incl GST) in Australia and $9,500 (plus GST) in New Zealand.
Alabar will offer a full sister to Joyful at the upcoming 2023 Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale.
