Like father like son – Captaintreacherous and Captain Crunch were both US Two-Year-Olds of the Year and both came back as three-year-olds to win the North America Cup.

Not only did Captain Crunch emulate his sire in winning the North America Cup – he did so in the fastest ever running of the great race and set a new track and Canadian record.

Captain Crunch also boasts an outstanding maternal pedigree with his dam, Sweet Paprika being a 1:51.2f stakes performed two and three-year old filly.

She is the dam of 2 in 1:50 and 4 in 1:53 and is a half-sister to the World Champion pacers Sweet Lou (1:47, $3,478,894) and Bettor Sweet (1:47.4, $2,782,353) and also to the dam of star filly Youaremycandygirl (1:48.4, $1,550,004).

In the US Captaintreacherous has crossed very well with mares from the Western Hanover line including Tall Drink Hanover $1.0 million (The Panderosa) and Lyons Sentinel $920k (Western Ideal).

So we believe that mares from this sireline will cross extremely well with Captain Crunch.

Of course the Cam Fella line has always crossed well with Direct Scooter line stallions and we see no reason why this shouldn’t be the same with Captain Crunch.

Cam Fella line stallions include include Bettor’s Delight, Fake Left, Armbro Operative, Presidential Ball, Washington VC, Precious Bunny, Four Starzzz Shark, Blissfull Hall, Pacific Fella, etc.

Captain Crunch is out of an Artiscape (Artsplace) mare and history has shown us that duplicating Artsplace in the middle of the pedigree has resulted in some outstanding horses (Anything For Love, Heavens Trend, etc)
