Rock N Roll Heaven had a magical 30 minutes last night as a sire with two of the most exciting pacers in the country winning feature races in different states.
Expensive Ego stamped himself as the best four year old in the country with a dominant win in the Group 1 Chariots Of Fire.
After going back to the rear of the field from his wide barrier draw, driver Luke McCarthy took him three wide and found the breeze with 800 metres to travel.
In the long home straight it was Expensive Ego that wanted it most and he wore down leader Zeuss Bromac to win in 1:48.9.
The win was his 12th from just 16 starts and takes his earnings to $305,218.
Out of the Perfect Art mare Art Start, Expensive Ego was bred by Doug Lyon.
Earlier in the night in Victoria, Wolf Stride continued his ascendance with an easy win in the Group 2 Terang Cup.
Given a perfect steer by Zac Phillips, he was able to find the front in the early stages of the race from a wide second row draw.
From there he dictated the terms and was able to sprint home in 55.1 to win by over two lengths.
Bred and raced by Emilio and Mary Rosati, Wolf Stride has now won $266,320 from 27 starts.
He will head to Menangle in a bid to qualify for the Miracle Mile.
Interestingly Expensive Ego and Wolf Stride are out of mares by the full brothers Perfect Art and Art Major.
