A brilliant 38.1 metre win yesterday further enhanced the pedigree of Ride High.
Ride High hails from one of the deepest maternal families in the Australia studbook. A family that has been carefully crafted for generations by both Peter Gleeson and Bruce and Craig Cameron.
Ride High himself is out of the Live Or Die mare All The Magic. Although she retired without a win from just three starts, she has been an incredible producer at stud.
And yesterday her three year old named High Above broke his maiden at his second start with a 38.1 metre win in 1:53.
Trained by Clayton Tonkin, High Above showed a similar brutal level of speed that Ride High often displayed throughout his career.
Ride High's family keeps getting better!

All The Magic has now had seven foals to race for six winners which in addition to Ride High includes:
- Rocknroll Magic 1:54.5 – $466,183 (Australian 3YO Pacing Filly of the Year)
- Always Fast 1:52.8 – $182,853 (Group 2 winner)
- All A Breeze 1:55.2
- High Profile 1:56.6 (2 wins from 3 starts)
- High Above 1:53
All The Magic’s 3rd dam is the Mark Lobell mare Hot Foot, the mare who started a dynasty for Gleeson and the Camerons.
Ride High will stand his third season at stud later this year. An awesome physical type of horse, Ride High is passing that on to his progeny.
We eagerly await his second crop this Spring out of mares such as Nike Franco (Group 1 winner), Leilani Lombo (Group 1 winner), Before Night Falls (Group 1 winner), Arms Of An Angel (Group 2 winner), Ideal Bliss (Group 2 winner), Madam Pom Pom (Group 2 winner) Miley Rose (Group 3 winner) plus fine producing mares like Bellasario (dam of Group 1 winner Captain Bellasario) and Contrapan (dam of Group 1 winner Border Control).
