It was another exciting weekend for the progeny of Captain Crunch, with several smart performances highlighting the sire’s growing impact on both sides of the Tasman.
At Melton, Golden Shooz impressed in the Victoria Oaks heats, taking out the fastest qualifier for trainer Jess Tubbs. The filly rated 1:56.7 over 2760 metres, showing good speed and staying ability to secure her spot in next week’s final.
In South Australia, House Party continued his unbeaten run with a comfortable victory in the Encipher Stakes at Globe Derby Park. The talented youngster once again displayed his natural pace and professionalism.
Across the Tasman, Eun Sogno ran a strong race to finish a close second in the $200,000 NZB Harness Millions 2YO Colts & Geldings Final at Addington, confirming his place among New Zealand’s top two-year-olds.
With strong performances at major meetings on both sides of the Tasman, Captain Crunch’s influence continues to grow.
