Another Group 1 victory for Always B Miki

Tricky Miki simply dominated his rivals in the Group 1 Golden Nugget final at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

Maddison Brown shot the 4YO son of Always B Miki to the front and from there he was never headed.

He exploded in the home straight and ran away to win by almost four lengths.

The Justin Prentice trained pacer has been sublime his whole career. His Group 1 wins are the Golden Slipper at 2, the WA Derby and Westbred Classic at 3 and now the Golden Nugget at 4.

He has won or placed in 20 of 25 starts and now has earnings of $482,721.

Bred by Steve Johnson, Tricky Miki is out of the Modern Art mare Harriet Elizabeth and thus carries a 3 x 3 cross to Artsplace.

Always B Miki is available to breeders for $9,350 (incl GST) in Australia and $9,500 (plus GST) in New Zealand.
