Always B Miki sits atop of the NZ Sires Premiership for two olds this season thanks to some high level stakes performances.
Last Sunday at Addington saw the latest of such performances when Always Ticking took out the Group 3 Leonard Memorial for 2YO Fillies.
For good measure fellow Always B Miki filly Always B You finished third.
Always B Ticking faced the breeze the entire trip but she wouldn’t be denied and fought hard for the win.
The Brett Gray trained filly has now had three starts for a win and two seconds.
Always B Miki is having a great season with his two year olds, which is his third crop in the Southern Hemisphere.
From 18 2YO starters across Australia and New Zealand he has already sired:
- Cold Chisel: Winner of the Group 2 Young Guns Cardigan Bay Stakes
- Always Ticking: Winner of the Group 3 Leonard Memorial
- Kiss: 2nd Group 2 Delightful Lady Classic
- Maurlen Boy: 3rd Group 1 Bathurst Gold Crown
- Always B You: 3rd Group 3 Leonard Memorial
- Always B Elite: 3rd Group 2 Young Guns Cardigan Bay Stakes
