Alabar enjoyed a notable result at Melton last Saturday night, with stallions from its roster siring the first three placegetters in the $150,000 APG 2YO Fillies Final.
The race was won by Degarmea Teale, a filly by Captain Crunch, who held off a late challenge from Ride The Highs, a daughter of Ride High, in a closely contested finish.
Alot Like Jeannie, also by Captain Crunch, secured third position.
Bred by the Grubb family, Degarmea Teale is out of the Artistic Fella mare Rise To The Top. She was purchased by Summit Bloodstock for $30,000 at the APG Sydney Yearling Sale and has showed exceptional promise at this early stage of her career.
The result points to encouraging signs for both Captain Crunch and Ride High as emerging sires.
With performances like these, Alabar’s young stallions are building solid foundations for future success.
