In a short but spectacular career Vincent was a four time Group One winner.
This past weekend he sired the winner of the Group Two Woodlands Mares Sprint Classic at Addington, when the four year old mare Francent out sprinted her rivals to win in 1.56.7 with a last half in 55.8.
Francent is the fifth foal of the unraced Courage Under Fire mare Mary Niven and this win took her career earnings to $107,930.
On Friday night, but some thousands of kilometres to the West, Vincent was busy siring a winning double on the Gloucester Park programme.
Princess Katie, a 4 year old mare from a Rock N Roll Heaven mare , brought up career win number ten with a sizzling 55.7 last half. Her bankroll now sits on a healthy $144,423.
Later on the programme the NZ bred son of Vincent, Franco Sheriff, registered his fifth career win in only his twelfth start, so his future looks bright.
