Could Always B Miki have three Dan Patch Award winners this season?

Always B Miki has definitely made a habit of siring divisional award winners (Dan Patch Awards) in his short career.

From three crops of racing age he has already sired:

  • Perfect Sting: US Two Year Old and Three Year Old Pacing Colt of the Year
  • Niki Hill: US Two Year Old Pacing Filly of the Year
  • Sylvia Hanover: US Two Year Old Pacing Filly of the Year
  • Monte Miki: US Two Year Old Pacing Colt of the Year

His progeny have won a stunning 5 Dan Patch awards. From the same crops, the next highest for a sire is Captaintreacherous and Art Major who have sired 2 each.

That is an amazing statistic.

And this season Always B Miki has a very realistic chance to sire another three Dan Patch award winners!

Sylvia Hanover has been the top ranked three year old pacing filly all season.

Grace Hill has won almost half a million dollars in 2023 and is currently the top ranked aged pacing mare.

While all his star two year old pacing colt Newsroom does is win!

His latest victory came in the $116,000 Elevation where he scored a gritty win. After the race his Hall Of Fame driver David Miller said “I think the world of the horse.”

He is now undefeated in six starts.

All three horses have to finish the year off strong, but if they do then Always B Miki could add another three Dan Patch award winners to his resume.

Always B Miki stands for $9,350 (incl GST) in Australia and $9,500 (plus GST) in New Zealand.
